Sometimes, one feels fragile and alone, with a want (or is it need?)
that can’t be fulfilled.

My dolls are the perfect canvases for me, and they give me a creative outlet. Whether it is working on a faceup, sewing clothes for them (albeit only on very rare occasions), and posing them for photos, I always find great enjoyment in fussing over them.

Some may knit, sculpt or draw. I play with dolls. ^___^

There’s nothing better than to sleep in on a Sunday, and just relax. ^__^

(Am not looking forward to the start of another work week tomorrow; but at least I’m on the late shift, so that’s one small blessing!)

There’s a big girl in the house! ^__^

Since getting into the hobby, I’d always prefered male ball-jointed dolls to female ones, and for well over a year, I never really had the urge to change that. I do have one girl though, but Cricket is only small (a LatiDoll Yellow).

Lately however, I’ve been admiring more girly dolls on forums and Flickr, and I felt that with 4 big boys at home, it was time to find them a little sister. Volks School C was my first choice (and still is my dream girl doll), but I’d chanced upon a SD10 Sara that was looking for a new home, and after 2 weeks, she is home and now known as Waltz.

Her faceup is my first attempt at a proper girlish faceup for a SD girl, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out for a first go. She’s always slightly unsure, and needs reassurance and encouragement from others.
